Dr. Gao is licensed by the State of New Mexico to practice as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine (D.O.M.), in the State of Missouri as an Acupuncturist and is certified by the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM) as a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine, the highest level of certification achieved in the United States. Additionally from 2000-2004, Dr. Gao was Program Director of the Integrative Medicine Program at Healthsouth Wesley Rehabilitation Hospital where he was responsible for development, design and direction of a groundbreaking Stroke Rehabilitation Research Program. Edlavitch, Ph.D., M.A., Vice President IIOM has served in senior positions with the US Public Health Service, Food & Drug Administration, University of Minnesota, United Health Care, University of Kansas School of Medicine & University of Missouri School of Medicine. Dr. Edlavitch has over 30 years experience in epidemiologic approaches to studying public health problems. He was founder and Executive Director, International Society for Pharmacoepidemiolgy (1985-1997) and is recognized for his pioneering work in studying the safety and effectiveness of therapeutic approaches as they are used in practice.
Dr. Loretta Forlaw, DNSc. RN, is assistant professor, Wichita State University School of Nursing and Vice President of Health Speaks, Inc. She has spent her nursing career in both civilian and military healthcare environments. Her clinical focus is adult and child nutritional health. She is a founding member of the American Society of Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (ASPEN) and was instrumental in developing the Certification & Examination Program
Mei Gong, TCMD (China), C.M.D. and Dr. Ac. (Canada), Dipl. Ac. is a graduate of the Beijing Union University with her major in Traditional Chinese medicine and Acupuncture. She has been practicing Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture in North America and China for twelve years since she earned her degree in medicine in 1991. Prior to her move to Wichita, She practiced in clinics as a Chinese Medicine Doctor and Acupuncturist in Canada, where she is a member of the Chinese medicine and Acupuncture Association of Canada. Dr. Gong was licensed physician specializing in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture at Beijing Jishuitang Hospital, China. Dr. Gong is also an instructor for the Kansas College of Chinese Medicine where she holds the position of Medical Director.
Maurice Henry Van Strickland, MD, Senior Medical Advisor IIOM, is board certified in Pediatrics, Adult & Pediatric Allergy and Immunology, is a Fellow of the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology, The American College of Allergy, Asthma & Immunology & The American Association of Certified Allergists. He is former Associate Clinical Professor at the University of Kansas Medical College. Dr. Strickland has an active clinical practice with interests in Allergy, Immunology, Fitness, Nutrition, and Environmental Health.
